Essex-Watches are made to very high quality standards.
Please remember, the mechanical parts run
24 hours a day when in use, in order to ensure long
life and good operation, the watch must undergo
regular maintenance.
Have your watch checked periodically by a Professional
Watch Service Center to preserve its perfect operation.
The normal variance in time is +/- 5 seconds per day.
If your piece gains or loses time to a significant degree,
the movement may need to be checked. The movements are
designed to withstand temperature variations between -10 degrees
& 60 degrees C (15 degrees F and 130 degrees F). Outside this
range of temperatures, variations in specified ranges may occur.
In addition, damage to other internal mechanisms may occur.
Handle the crown with care when setting time, etc, as it is
an intricate piece of the watch design.
To maintain the brilliant clean look and design of your Essex-watch, we
recommend washing your watch with gentle, ammonia free soap, tepid
water and a very soft brush.
After this operation, and also
after bathing in the sea or swimming pool, carefully rinse the watch
with clean water. All Essex-Watches can be
polished with a soft, dry cloth.
Have your Essex-Watch check periodically for water-
resistance by an Authorize
Watch Service Center.
And restore it every two years with regular servicing,
or whenever the watch has to be opened.
The restoration of water-resistance
necessarily involves
replacing the seals to ensure the maximum water-
resistance
and security. Where the watch is used in
underwater sports activities, it is
recommended that it
should be checked every year
before the underwater
activities begin.
Do not operate the winding crown underwater. Do not use the watch at a
depth greater than indicated Do not exceed temperature parameters.
